Ghosts of Georgia Investigation report
On July 16, 2016, GOGPI investigated claims of paranormal activity at a private residence in Smyrna, GA. The activity reported at the residence is as follows: Shadows, voices, noises/floor creaking/physical manipulation of objects, doors closing, pets disturbed, switched on electrical device.

Nikon Coolpix L28 Full Spectrum digital camera, Bell & Howell IR Camcorder, JVC Everio Camcorder, T700 Full spectrum Camcorder, DDV-2200 full spectrum video camcorder, Insignia full spectrum HD camera/video recorder, MagiCam Mini Camcorder, FLIR Bcam w/SD, set of full spectrum POV glasses.

EMF Meters: Electro Sensor EMF Meter, Cell Sensor, Digital EMF Detectors, Mel-8704R-KII, Mel-8704-R, several K-II Meters.
Audio Recorders: Sony P210 digital voice recorder, 2- Sony digital recorders, Olympus D-10 digital voice recorder, RCA digital recorder Olympus VN-4100PC. Spion Parabolic Dish.
Thermometers: Cen-Tech mini non-contact infrared digital thermometer and an Omega HH68K ambient thermometer. Mel-8704R-KII has ambient thermometer included.

Condition of the home:
The house was built in 1986. The home is in good condition, some repairs were being made due to a problem with the plumbing, all utilities were in good working condition, outside doors and windows were in good shape with little to no noise or drafts coming from the outside.

Findings:
GOGPI was called in to investigate the above claims of activity. Base reading in the house were within normal limits, temperature normal for conditions, EMF were within normal reading, except around the electrical equipment and electrical panels where they were higher, as expected.
We did not get anything in our pictures or video. We did record numerous EVP’s. A couple investigators had some personal experiences, see below.
With the claims of activity from the client and his wife, personal experiences by the investigators, the EVP’s that were recorded we feel like there is paranormal activity in the house. We feel that the activity is not harmful for the home or the client and family. We cannot say the house is haunted without a follow up investigation to see if we can reproduce the claims of activity, personal experiences, and to gather more evidence of paranormal activity.

When I was in the master bedroom taking pictures of the bathroom, I suddenly felt like someone was behind me. I felt like I was being watched from the corner of the bedroom. I turned around and no one was in the room with me.
While walking thru the living room I suddenly caught the scent of flowers. I checked for something that could be putting off the scent but could not find anything.

- One point I believed someone was to my right. Felt the feeling when two people stand close and their auras touch. Nothing there or EVP to support it.
- Momentary headache in the master bedroom bathroom. Probably mold or water related.

| · 1828 gold was discovered in area and the US Federal Government forcibly removed the Cherokee Nation from the land.
· In 1832, Land was distributed by lottery to white settlers from Europe. · On April 23, 1861 Georgia Governor Joseph E. Brown established an officer’s training camp at Smyrna Camp Ground for the Confederate army. (about 4 miles away) · The Civil War Battle of Smyrna Camp Ground took place on July 3, 1864 nearby. · Buildings in the area were burned by Sherman’s troops, July 4, 1864 · July 5, 1864. Gen. J.E. Johnston’s Army of Tenn. [CS] withdrew from the Smyrna-Ruff’s Mill line to formidable field-works which crossed exactly where this house is and an unnamed number of soldiers were killed. |

| · A few thefts and burglary in the area, but nothing major near location.
· No deaths recorded on the property or near the property. · Train tracks run about 500 feet from property. · Closest cemetery is 4.4 miles away and dates back to 1838. · The street we will be on has more Portuguese and Haitian ancestry people living in it than any other neighborhood in America. · The area is also pretty special linguistically. Significantly, 0.8% of its residents five years old and above primarily speak Gujarati, which is native to the Indian state of Gujarat, at home. While this may seem like a small percentage, it is higher than 95.6% of the neighborhoods in America. So we may not get English responses. · Violent crime comparison for the area is lower than the National Average. · I found one report of an argument between two parties on a street that connects with this one, in which both parties were using Haitian Voodoo spells according to reports · Smyrna takes its name from the Bible’s Book of Revelation; it’s the name of one of the seven churches of Paul the Apostle. · Just a fun one, actress Julia Roberts is from the area. |
