Investigation report
April 30, 2016 Ghosts of Georgia Paranormal Investigations investigated the Footlight Players Theater and Dueler’s Alley in Charleston, S.C. Claims of activity include uneasy feelings in certain areas and being touched.

History:
The building was built in 1802 and was used as a cotton warehouse. We were unable to find out how long it was operated as a warehouse or when it was converted into a theater. In 1931 the Footlight Players stared performing in the theater and have been performing there for 85 years, is Charleston’s longest continuously producing theatre company.

Cameras: Two Canon Rebel digital cameras, Samsung digital camera, Fuji S602 digital camera, Tasco infrared trail camera, iPhone 5S Camera/Video, numerous IR Video Cameras connected to a J2000 DVR. Nikon Coolpix L28 Full Spectrum digital camera, Bell & Howell IR Camcorder, JVC Everio Camcorder, T700 Full spectrum Camcorder, DDV-2200 full spectrum video camcorder, Insignia full spectrum HD camera/video recorder, MagiCam Mini Camcorder, FLIR Bcam w/SD, set of full spectrum POV glasses.

EMF Meters: Electro Sensor EMF Meter, Cell Sensor, Digital EMF Detectors, Mel-8704R-KII, Mel-8704-R, several K-II Meters.
Audio Recorders: Sony P210 digital voice recorder, 2- Sony digital recorders, Olympus D-10 digital voice recorder, RCA digital recorder Olympus VN-4100PC. Spion Parabolic Dish.
Thermometers: Cen-Tech mini non-contact infrared digital thermometer and an Omega HH68K ambient thermometer. Mel-8704R-KII has ambient thermometer included.
Other: 2-P-SB7 frequency sweep radio( spirit box ), P-SB11 spirit box, Spirit voice receiver, Boo Buddy Bear, Laser Grid, Compaq Presario Laptop, Dell Laptop, Ovilus M, Altec speaker, 2- Rempod’s, various flashlights.
Investigation beginning and end: Started 12:52 a.m. and Ended 3:20 a.m.
Summary of Investigation:
We set up three stationary Infrared cameras, two in the auditorium and one behind the curtain stage right. We set base in the lobby with our DVR system.
We then broke into two teams, one team went out to investigate Dueler’s Alley, that was next to the theater, and the other team investigated the theater. While investigated both teams took EMF and temperature readings along with doing EVP sessions throughout the investigation. While out in Dueler’s Alley the EMF did spike to high levels, up to 8.0 miligause, in many areas of the alley which suggested the presents of manmade electrical output. Other areas the readings stay on 0.0 miligause. The team did encounter two areas where the EMF meter went from 0.0 to 2.50 without the meter being moved which indicated an EMF source passed by the meter, possibly paranormal. The temperature stayed within normal limits without change. Inside the theater the EMF range stayed the same. It was a little higher than normal range which was to be expected in an older building. There was a high reading around the area where there were many electrical wires, it was behind the curtain stage right. The temperature remained unchanged.
Findings:
We did not capture anything in our video. We did capture one anomaly in our digital pictures. The picture was taken with a full spectrum camera sitting on a tripod using infrared illuminator. A series of four pictures were taken with the last one showing the light area becoming smaller and less intense, no changes were made with the camera or lighting. We did record a few EVP’s in the theater of unexplained noises and voices that were not heard during the investigation. None of the investigators had any personal experiences. During our investigation we found very little evidence of paranormal activity other than one picture we could not explain and several EVP’s. The area with high EMF could cause people sensitive to EMF to feel uncomfortable with the feeling of being watched. We cannot say the theater is haunted and would require another investigation to see if we could gather more evidence of paranormal activity.
In Dueler’s Alley we did capture several EVP’s and had some odd EMF readings. Most of the EMF we determine came from man made power supplies while a couple readings we could not explain and may have been caused by the paranormal. When the EVP’s were recorded there was no one else around except for the investigating team.
