Findings:

GOGPI was called in to investigate the above claims of activity. We set up stationary cameras in the reported active areas of the house. We then started investigating the rooms in the home by taking EMF and temperature readings, all were within normal limits, and conducting EVP session throughout the home.

We did not get anything in our pictures or video. We did record numerous EVP’s. All investigator had some personal experiences, see below.

With the claims of activity from the client, personal experiences by the investigator, the EVP’s that were recorded we feel like there is paranormal activity in the house. Unfortunately we were unable to determine who may be in the house but we feel that the activity is not harmful for the home, client, and family. We cannot say the house is haunted without a follow up investigation to see if we can reproduce the claims of activity, personal experiences, and to gather more evidence of paranormal activity.

RESEARCH ON PROPERTY

DETAILS & HISTORY OF PROPERTY
●      2

HISTORY OF AREA
·       In 1773, the Lower Cherokee Indian tribe lived in the area.

·       The 1783 Treaty of Augusta established the land claim from the native residents. The county was created in 1784 and named in honor of Benjamin Franklin.

·       The land is rich, fertile and well developed into a prosperous cattle and farming area.

·       Sometime in the early 1800’s, people passed through Royston and found the area very desirable. So it was that Mr. W. Asbury Royston settled here.

·       Mr. Royston, Mr. Robert Berryman, Angus Johnson, and Jackson Burnette were among the first land owners. Mr. Berryman acquired much land in the area, and it was he who made the first recorded sale of land.

·       Not too long after this purchase, Mr. Royston built his place of business, on the lot where the Royston Drug Store now stands. He also built his home, which wasn’t extremely large, on the space now occupied by the Sanders’ Motor Company.

·       The area of Royston started as a farming community.

·       The railroad that runs through Royston was completed in 1878

·       In 1879 Royston was incorporated.

·       In the 1800’s Franklin Springs, just two miles down the road from Royston, was a popular travel spot with its beneficial mineral, sulfur, and freestone springs. By 1890 Franklin Springs’ resort had two hotels, a skating rink, two pavilions and about 15 private residences on about 87 acres.

INTERESTING TIDBITS
·       .8 miles to the closest cemetery.

·       Ty Cobb is from Royston.

·       Paul, a mile from address, claimed to have seen a mysterious dark figure with red eyes in a trailer park filled with drug addicts. Paul revealed that the shadowy creature told him, “You think you can help these people, but they belong to me.”

·       Within a 2 mile radius, 4 reports of a knock on the door at sunset with no one there.

·       1.2 miles away, the Cobb Memorial hospital was closed.  Since then, there have been several reports of a man in the parking lot. He wears a large hospital robe and it is covered with blood. He moans and groans while cursing and complaining about his missing car. People that have seen him say he twitches and has spasms.

·       October 10, 2006 at about 11:58 p.m., violence spilled from the front door at 109 Jones Circle. Jeremy Edward Kidd, 25, lay mortally wounded in the front yard, stabbed in the chest and back over an argument. Tiffany Rucker, 24, was also injured. Royston said Stephen Rucker, 24, was arrested and charged with murder.

·       April 17, 1944.  Royston had a devastating tornado. “38 Die, 500 Hurt as Tornado Hits Georgia, South Carolina”, “Houses Wrecked in 100-Mile early Morning Sweep—Hospital Damaged—Heaviest Toll Is at Royston, Ga., With Twelve Killed” I attached the old newspaper headline below

·       Most of the ground under Royston is lined with Mica mineral deposits.  This is important because it has unique electrical and thermal properties and is a good electrical insulator at the same time as being a good thermal conductor. Not exactly sure how that will work with our tools.

·       The largest Ley Line in Georgia passes directly under the area of this street after passing through the Georgia Guidestones.  The high-level ley line map is below.
